I know what it is like to work long shifts, surrounded by beautiful food while I was hungry, and then take the night bus home. I have been treated poorly, navigated workplace politics and wondered where all my hard work was leading.
Those years began to mean something when they led me to serve my principals and their guests, including members of royalty and prime ministers—and eventually to run some of the most sought-after private properties in the United Kingdom.
The profession took me around the world, opened doors to remarkable people and some of the most beautiful environments, and gave me the means to build a comfortable life while continually expanding what I knew about service, culture and people.
The long days in hotels, the years aboard cruise ships and everything I learned in private households eventually led me to establish The London Butler Academy®.
